#SaveBangKloi : The Indigenous Karen Community in Danger

Ban Bang Kloi Bon, a Karen community, was forcibly evicted from its ancestral land in 1997. The residents have been fighting for their right to self-determination. However, in April 2014, one of the indigenous activists and emerging community leaders, Porlajee "Billy" Rakchongcharoen, was forcibly disappeared. The illustration depicts the community contemplating the permanent loss of their homeland and traditional way of life.
